Muffin’s Midday Motivational Minute

“Hey YOU! ... Are You the Answer to Your Own Struggle?”

Let me ask you something — and don’t rush past it.

Are you overwhelmed… stressed… anxious… depressed… unable to find a way forward? ... Are you self-sabotaging? ... Are you the answer to your current life challenge?

Sit with that:

* Not because you’re weak.

* Not because you’re failing.

* But because sometimes the hardest truth is this:

👉🏽 We keep asking God to fix what we refuse to surrender.

👉🏽 We keep praying for peace while choosing control.

👉🏽 We want God’s hand, but not God’s heart.

And that disconnect matters.

A Hard but Loving Truth:

In my devotion today, I was reminded of something sobering and powerful:

God is always faithful to His covenant. But throughout Scripture, when people forgot Him, abandoned Him, or chose their own way, He stood at a distance.

Not because He stopped loving them, but because relationship is a two-way street.

God does not force intimacy.

He does not override free will.

He does not compete with pride, self-reliance, or distractions.

He waits!

And through the prophet Zechariah, God said plainly:

“I, the Lord, was very angry with your ancestors.

Return to Me, and I will return to you.”

(Zechariah 1:3)

That wasn’t rejection.

That was an invitation.

🪞 So Let Me Ask Again… Gently This Time:

Have you abandoned God not intentionally, but gradually?

Have you been handling life on your own, then wondering why everything feels heavy?

Have you replaced prayer with pressure?

Faith with fear?

Trust with control?

God watches not in anger, but in sorrow as we carry burdens He never planned for us to carry.

“Cast all your cares on Me, because I care for you.”

(1 Peter 5:7)

But we don’t cast them.

We clutch them.

We manage them.

We exhaust ourselves with them.

Then ask God why we’re tired.

📖 What God Is Saying (Not Condemning — Calling)

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.”

(Proverbs 3:5–6)

“Apart from Me, you can do nothing.”

(John 15:5)

“Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

(Matthew 11:28)

“I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

(Hebrews 13:5)

God didn’t leave.

We wandered.

And still — He’s asking for our heart, not our performance.

🌿Life Scenario for Women:

She’s juggling everything — family, work, expectations, healing, appearances.

She prays… but still insists on doing everything herself.

She’s exhausted, irritable, anxious, overwhelmed.

Not because God isn’t able, but because she hasn’t released control.

One day she whispers,

“God, I’m tired of being strong. I give this back to You.”

And peace shows up not because the situation changed, but because the relationship was restored.

For Men

He believes being strong means being silent.

He handles stress alone.

Carries responsibility without relief.

Faith is something he believes in — but doesn’t lean on.

Until life backs him into a corner.

That’s when he realizes:

“I trusted myself more than I trusted God.”

And surrender becomes the turning point not weakness, but wisdom.

✨ Affirmations (Say These Slowly)

I am not meant to carry life alone.

God is my refuge, not my last resort.

I choose relationship over control.

I return to God with my whole heart.

When I surrender, God responds.

I release self-sabotage and receive divine guidance.

God’s faithfulness never left...I’m choosing to return.

🙏🏽 Self-Encouraging Prayer:

God, today I pause not to ask You for more, but to return to You fully.

Forgive me for carrying what You never asked me to hold.

Forgive me for leaning on my own understanding while asking for Your peace.

I surrender control, pride, fear, and self-reliance.

I give You my heart not just my problems.

Restore the intimacy I walked away from.

Teach me how to trust You again not halfway, but wholeheartedly.

I return to You… and I believe you will return to me, just as You promised.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Before You Scroll… Think About This:

1. Are you overwhelmed because life is hard — or because you’re doing it alone?

2. What would change if you returned to God before returning to the problem?

3. If God promised to return when you return to Him… what’s stopping, you?

This is your call to action:

* Not to do more.

* Not to try harder.

* But to come back home.

No Fluff. No Guilt. Just Hard Truth!

God is faithful...He’s waiting on you...And the moment you return, everything will begin to shift.

That concludes my Monday, Midday Motivational Minute. I pray it encourages you to keep moving forward, trusting God more to handle your life challenges.

God loves you and so do I!
